HEWI awarded the German Design Award 2023
The German Design Award discovers and presents unique design trends across industries – a competition that drives the design-oriented economy. This award honors product solutions that provide answers to current challenges and think ahead in terms of design.
HEWI ICONIC was awarded the German Design Award 2023 in the category Special Mention for outstanding design quality. In the category Excellent Product Design – Bath and Wellness, the new color editions of the classic 477/801 won over the international jury of experts.
HEWI ICONIC
With three extended color concepts, HEWI has given the design classic 477/801 a different look that appeals to the senses. Color affects us on an emotional level, creates atmosphere, and brings authenticity and individuality to interiors. With the targeted use of color, it also becomes possible to influence the sense of well-being in a room. For HEWI, color is essential for adapting a design icon that is almost perfect in terms of design and function to current trends and increasing the scope for design in planning. The vitalizing shades of coral, aqua blue, and pure white make up the new Tricolor color canon for health care buildings in the care division. Especially for children’s hospitals, kindergartens, and daycare centers, HEWI presents the editions apple green, May green, and coral as well as aqua blue, steel blue, and apple green – gentle, calming, and harmonizing tones in terms of color effect.
German Design Council
The German Design Award is presented by the German Design Council. This is one of the leading international centers of excellence for design. Initiated by the German Federal Council, it has supported companies in their brand and design development for almost 70 years and strengthens German design as an economic factor.
